This accessibility statement applies to quartax.co.uk. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility.
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA, for the reasons listed in section 4. We have tested the site against the full set of Level A and AA success criteria using both automated tooling and targeted scripted checks. Beyond the known issue below, a live session with a person actually using a screen reader (section 5) has also not yet been completed.
We ran automated accessibility testing (axe-core, the same engine used by many professional auditors) against every major page and template on this site, both signed out and signed in, covering the homepage, pricing, blog, comparison pages, sign up and sign in, and the full dashboard including upload, review, connect, history, settings, and calculations. That scan reported zero violations against WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules as of 29 July 2026. We also computed exact contrast ratios for every colour combination used across the site and corrected two we found below the required threshold, and ran further scripted checks covering keyboard navigation, page reflow, and text spacing.
Border colour on inputs, buttons, and cards currently measures approximately 1.24:1 against its background, below the 3:1 ratio required for UI component boundaries (WCAG 1.4.11). We are aware of this and are weighing it against a visual design preference for a lighter border; we will update this statement if that balance changes.
Automated tools and scripted checks now cover a large share of WCAG 2.1 AA, including things that typically require manual testing elsewhere, keyboard traps, focus indicators, reflow, and text spacing. What they cannot fully replace is a real person using a screen reader (such as VoiceOver or NVDA) to actually use the site: whether the experience reads sensibly aloud, in the order intended, is something only a human listening can confirm. We have not yet completed that session, and we are not claiming full compliance until we have.
If you find an accessibility problem, or you need information on this website in a different format, please contact us at team@quartax.co.uk. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
This statement was prepared on 29 July 2026 and last updated on 31 July 2026 following an internal review of the website against every WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA success criterion, combining a code-level review, computed colour contrast ratios, automated axe-core testing, and scripted keyboard, reflow, and text-spacing checks against the live, rendered site. It was not conducted by an independent third-party auditor, and does not yet include a live screen reader session. We will update this statement as our compliance status changes.
